Policies
Returns, Refunds & Warranty
Returns & refunds
- Full refund: cancel within 48 hours of purchase if the order has not entered production or shipment.
- Restocking fee: if the order has entered production or is being prepared for shipment, a $200 restocking fee applies (paid separately via invoice).
- Shipped orders: refunds for shipped products follow the terms in the customer’s Affirm financing agreement (if used).
- Refund timing: approved refunds are issued within 7–10 business days after CI receives and inspects the return.
Non-returnable items
- Custom-configured hardware once it has been shipped or used.
- Software, licenses, and digital downloads once delivered.
- Final sale items explicitly marked non-refundable at checkout.
How to start a return (RMA required)
Email support@companionintelligence.com to request an RMA number. Returns without an RMA are not accepted. Pack the item securely in the original packaging with all accessories and documentation. Return shipping is customer-paid unless the return is due to a manufacturer defect.
Warranty
- 2-year limited hardware warranty for defects in materials/workmanship and core component failures under normal use.
- 3 years labor included for customer support and repair work.
- Shipping for warranty service: CI covers shipping both ways in year 1; after year 1, customer pays inbound shipping and CI covers return shipping after repairs.
- Repair timeline: typically 5–15 business days after diagnosis (varies by case and parts availability).
