Last Updated: 10-27-2025
Companion Intelligence (“CI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect data when you interact with our augmented reality (“AR”) product, Embodied Agent, and when you visit our websites or related online services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. U.S. Scope and Governing Law
The Embodied Agent Service is intended solely for use by individuals located in the United States who are 18 years of age or older.
Companion Intelligence does not target or make the Service available to users in other countries.
All data processing and storage occur within the United States, and this Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law.
2. Information We Collect
During active sessions, Embodied Agent may process limited data needed to deliver the AR experience:
Voice and Audio Input: Spoken commands and responses used to interact with the AI avatar.
Location Data: Approximate device location (city or region) to personalize context.
Usage Analytics: Non-identifying session metrics such as feature usage, performance, and interaction counts.
When you visit our website, we also collect limited information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 10.
We do not collect personal information outside of active sessions, and we do not maintain persistent personal profiles.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:
To operate, personalize, and improve Embodied Agent and related services.
To analyze performance and technical stability.
To maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our systems.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making outside the context of your active session.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Storage: Data is processed and stored on Companion Intelligence’s managed infrastructure within secure U.S.-based facilities.
Retention: Data is retained only for the duration of the active session. When the session ends, all session data (voice, location, and usage analytics) is automatically deleted or anonymized.
Backups: No personal or identifying session data is included in persistent system backups.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties.
However, WebSpatial—the platform that may host or render AR environments—may collect information under its own privacy policy. Companion Intelligence is not responsible for the independent data collection or processing practices of third-party platforms.
